Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rohr & Associates, Certified Public Accountants ("Rohr CPAs," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage our services. Your privacy matters to us, and as CPAs we are also subject to professional confidentiality obligations that go beyond this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us: name, email, phone, company, and any details you share when submitting a contact form, requesting a consultation, engaging our services, or corresponding with us by email or phone.
  • Client engagement information: during an engagement, we necessarily receive tax, financial, business, and personal information about you and, where applicable, members of your family or business. This information is treated as confidential client information under professional standards.
  • Automatically collected information: when you visit our website we may automatically collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page, and timestamps. This information is used to operate and improve the site.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations;
  • Deliver the professional services you engage us to perform;
  • Communicate about our services, deadlines, and matters relevant to your engagement;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website; and
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use client engagement information for marketing purposes.

How we share information

We treat client information as confidential and do not disclose it except:

  • To members of our firm who need it to serve you;
  • To service providers that support our operations (for example, secure document exchange, tax preparation software, financial planning software such as RightCapital, and workflow tools), each of which is contractually or professionally obligated to protect the information;
  • With your consent or at your direction, for example, when you ask us to coordinate with your attorney or investment advisor; or
  • When required by law, subpoena, court order, or professional regulatory authority.

Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and understand aggregate site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work as intended.

Data security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information we hold. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit access to your information to those who need it and to keep it protected in transit and at rest.

Data retention

We retain client records for the periods required by professional standards, tax and legal requirements, and our own record-retention policy. Website inquiry information is retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation.

As a general matter, we retain copies of filed tax returns and the workpapers supporting them for a minimum of seven years from the filing date, and longer for records related to open-ended items such as basis, depreciation, carryforwards, trusts, estates, and business formation. Original documents you provide are returned to you at the end of the engagement; you are responsible for maintaining your own permanent records. Specific retention periods are described in your engagement letter and may vary by the type of engagement.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us at admin@rohrcpas.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act). We honor those rights consistent with our professional obligations. Note that certain client records must be retained for regulatory reasons even if you request deletion.

Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites (for example, Advisory Hub, scheduling forms, and social channels). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonable.
